Renée Mae Cyr

Primarily self-taught in all the artisanal fields she has explored, it was in 2006, after 22 years working in the field of social service, that I decided to devote myself completely to the art of jewellery making. In 2007, I founded my small virtual business, Sous mon Arbre / Under my Tree. I’ve displayed my jewellery in several well-known retail outlets in different cities in the province of N.B., and I’ve participated in several exhibits. In 2012, I opened my own studio in Shediac, N.B. L’Atelier also offers a place for many other artists and artisans from the Maritimes to exhibit and sell their creations.

I am highly sensitive to trees, and they are my source of inspiration. For me, trees are a reflection of the human race; they are all different, unique, like us. They vibrate and differentiate themselves in this space that we share between earth and sky…
