Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Shediac intends to amend the Zoning By-Law No. Z-14-44.

The purpose of the amendment is to rezone the properties bearing property identification numbers 70136841 and 70624564 in the Town of Shediac, from General Commercial (GC) Zone to Integrated Development Zone (ID) in order to allow a group home and its incidental uses.

Interested parties may consult this draft by-law at the office of the Town Clerk at Shediac Town Hall from Monday to Thursday, from 8 am to noon and from 1 pm to 4 pm, and on Friday from 8 am to noon.

You may also consult the documents: Objections to the draft by-law submitted in writing will be considered at a public hearing to be held at the Shediac Town Hall, 290 Main Street, Shediac, NB, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 6 pm. Any person wishing to defend or object to these objections may be heard.

The Shediac Municipal Council is considering a request to amend By-law P-14-36, entitled “Shediac Municipal Plan”, as well as By-law Z-14-44, enacted on April 28, 2014, and filed in the Westmorland County Registry Office under no. 33795973, on May 23, 2014. The request is to change the designation of properties with identification numbers 70705157, 70139274 and 00973784 to Residential (R) in the Land Use Map of By-law P-14-36, as well as to change the zoning to Residential (R1) in By-law Z-14-44, with the aim of restoring the zoning to what it was prior to 2023..

Interested persons may consult these drafts by-laws at the Town Clerk's Office at Shediac Town Hall from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to noon and from 1 pm to 4 pm and on Friday from 8 am to noon.
